Connection problems, failing after 4 retries

Hello, I'm new here and I have a problem.
I've been playing CS:S for a long time, and since yesterday I have connection problems. It's the 'Connection failed after 4 retries' problem.
I googled it, read a lot about it but I still cant figure out how to fix the problem.

It's not:
-The router, when I bypass it, plug the modem directly in my pc I still cant connect
-The wrong game-filter in Steam, I checked it, and is says clearly: Counter Strike: Source (I also cant connect servers in my history btw, so I'm sure)
-clientregisty.blob, I deleted it, then steam updated, didn't work.
-Windows firewall, several times I deleted and then added the Steam.exe and HL2.exe to the 'except list' (uitzondering in Dutch, dunno in English) but it didn't work..

When I run the steam connection test, everything is passed..

So I can do everything in steam and CS:S, refresh, friendlist, everything works fine but I can't connect to any server..
Can anyone please help me out???

Hmm before you join a server, right click it and select "view server info", does any information come up about who's playing in the server, or does it say "server is not responding". Also what ping value is it giving you back?

OK thanks for ur reaction. When I check that, it gives the usual server info, players etc, nothing wrong with that.
The ping is also as usual, from Holland to GB/german/danish/french etc. servers: ping around 25-50, to American server around 180-200, so I guess that's fine too..

Hmm then it means it's connecting to the server fine, but you just can't actually connect. I really can't think why that would be.
How many servers have you tried in total to join? And you couldn't connect to any of them?

I dunno exactly, think like 20 or so, and I cant get into any of them..
