Console question(s)...

Hi all.

First off, I`m sure this has been asked a million times but I looked around and could not find a specific answer to my question, so sorry if I`m being a boring noob...

I`ve now finished HL2 and enjoyed it hugely... got to be one of the best games I`ve played, just amazing.

But now that I`ve finished it I`d like to try some of the console commands but I`m having no luck getting the commands to work...

I can get the console open np`s but when I type in "impulse 101" for eg nothing happens!

I usually get a message saying it`s an invalid command or the like.

Do these commands have to have the inverted comma`s or do they just get typed in without them?

If someone could help out I`d be most chuffed.

Try 'sv_cheats 1', then 'impulse 101'
That'll enable the cheats for the console.

You may have to reload the map you're playing on for sv_cheats to get changed. Been a while since I've cheated though

The 'sv_cheats 1' did the trick darkeye...
