I just got a HALF-LIFE 1: Anthology.

Stepping and looking have problem.

The character still stand for a sec when I press and hold forward, backward, or strafe.

I move the mouse, the screen won't move sometime. Frozen, moved, frozen, and moved.

Please help me, thanks.

sounds more like its just lagging on an old pc...

some specs could help, but also a favorite questions around here is this, is your copy legit? and dont lie ( which is a stupid statement ), if it isnt legit no one will help you, nor is the problem really fixable in a pirated version any way.

If a computer is lagging while trying to play Half-Life 1 then it's either from the stone-age or something is seriously wrong.

Yeah my friends getting the same proplem on my other computer , and it has vista pro.

Aww. >_<

I've looked for a source port in the SourceForge, but those too many to pick one. What name of best?

Is this anthology Steam-based? Because you might want to register your CD-key and get some auto-patching done.

I think my PC is not lucky for that game.

Some XPs work with it? I played Team Fortress on XP, I asked other player. He's using XP. I shocked, not fair.

Dude, HL1 works on XP. Just register your CD-Key on Steam, as I said already. I realize you might not have understood this because you're not a native speaker, however.

Download Steam from www.steampowered.com. There'll be a menu option where you can register it on a Steam account, assuming you bought a legit copy.

Make sure you remember your account name and password, btw. Lost those and you can still play the game independently from Steam, but you lose the nifty autopatching and free downloads.

That's strange. Anything which can run HL2 should run HL1 easily...

Give us your specs, yo.

You mean Specification (technical standard)?

EDIT: Please, come on. Help me.

I'm sorry, I hate double post...

My Technical Specifications:

CPU:
3200+ AMD Sempron Processor ( I hate it, I want a Core 2 Duo )

Memory:
512mb PC3200 DDR SDRAM ( I need 2mb or 5mb )

Hard Drive:
100GB 7200RPM Ultra DMA ( Western Digital is better )

Graphics:
ATI Radeon X1600 512mb PCI-E

If it's at any constellation:
Make a shortcut to your desktop and go to compatibility, tick the box.
If it doesn't work, it's not a problem with your OS.

Someone helped me in the PlanetHALF-LIFE, "gl_flipmatrix 1" fixed the problem movement. But one problem appeared, the drunk crosshair... Look at the crosshair! How can I fix it?

SERIOUSLY:

Please solve the problem crosshair. I've waited for 3 days.

If your using mods, sometimes they mod the position of the crosshair, to fit certain resolutions. If your running on 800x600 and the modder ran on 1280x1024, the crosshair can sometimes be, misplaced.

I've been uninstall four classic HALF-LIFE games to rip MODs out. Reinstalled. I tested it without any MODs, The crosshair is STILL mess! *sign* *head down*

I removed the freaking crosshair off of the display with console. I'm thinking, make something. I'll put a tiny sticker on the monitor in center when play them. :P

And thanks for your help!

I have seruous problem! When i played DOOM, DOOMGUY has problem movement too!! Slipping! What matter with my PC!?

No, DOOM + ZDOOM. It's not Steam version. I think my HD is gettin' fattest.

Yeah, sounds like a system problem. I don't suppose your keyboard needs replacing?

Well, I got a new HD with more empty. Finally, all of the problem movements are gone and smooth like classic.

I don't thanking to you 'cuz you didn't tell me to buy a new HD.

Thanks for nothing.
