Is it possible to convert iTunes music to MP3s? The iTune's file types are m4ps. Weird... I know.. But I have been searching the net for everything, and it is giving me complicated methods. Isn't there a program?

The only reason I have music from iTunes is because I couldn't find it anywhere else, and it was free. Please help. Thanks.

If you right click on a song and select "convert to mp3" it should do it automatically. However if the message "Cannot convert music purchased from iTunes store" comes up, the only option left would be to burn it to a CD, then put it onto iTunes again, but from the CD.

edit: nevermind, I read it as though you had an iPod. It looks like you'll have to do what TIIMMYY said and use a CD. Try to use a CD-RW if you have one around and if you have a lot of songs to convert.

there used to be a program called Hymn that could do it, but with the latest updates I think apple countered it. the only other way to do it would be to burn it to a CD then rip it back on to the comp.

I figured out a better way without a loss of quality. I recorded the song through Audacity and encoded it as an MP3. :)

Pssh. I just sing all the parts, then combine them and save as .mp3! Works like a charm. Guitar is kind of hard though :/

I'm guessing you'd have to set the recording input to Stereo Mix or something like that. Not using your microphone.

I do this to rip music from certain things too. Except I use Goldwave.

I have a setting on my soundcard that allows me to play what I hear without quality loss or anything. It is basically for recording what you hear without loss of quality or sound. Its basically rerecording the whole sound again. Sounds exactly the same and everything.
