Converting Textures Question

Okay, I am always hearing that you have to convert your images to 32-bit targas. I am converting them to targas but I dont have a program to make them 32-bit.

I also know that everyone is using photoshop to do it. I dont have Photoshop or the 600 bucks to buy it!

Anyone know of a FREE* program that will convert them for me???

I use photoshop but if you google it you can find many, you can try this for 30 days: http://www.aha-soft.com/ahaview/tga-info.htm. And the only time you need to convert a tga to 32 bits is when you use the alpha mask (when you need transparency or a mask for reflections). Otherwise, you can use irfanview wich is free and will let you save in 24 bits and do alot of things.

Okay, I got everything working now. I am using VtexGUI now.

I suggest anyone who cannot get vtex working to use this program!
