Convince me to get Deus Ex

Ive just had about enough of this. All over the internet i always hear references to this phenomena called "deus ex" that i never were a part of. I remember when i was a kid, a friend of mine had the game sitting on his desk but he told me it didnt work. Thats the first and last time i saw the game. Is it really so great everyone says it is? Do i HAVE to try it?

Challange: Convince me to get the game, and you shall recieve cake that my mom baked (i swear)

EDIT: Well alright, I'll add this: apart from the graphics, the game has aged incredibly well. I completed it again for what must have been the 5th or 6th time just a few months ago, and still found it as brilliant as before. And I still found new stuff in it. It's an absolutely fantastic game, you just need to get past the first mission for the plot to grab you in.

EDIT2: Oh yeah and this: it has arguably the best plot twist in a game, ever. I've been playing games for almost 20 years now and the biggest "holy mother****ing WTF?!!"-moment I've had was when I exited a certain facility in Deus Ex. But that's all I'm gonna say.

Buy it or I'll ban your worthless Swedish ass for three month. It's a great, maybe one of the best, but it's pretty overrated in certain circles.
