Does anyone here enjoy making really good meals? I don't mean pita pizzas and eggo waffles. I mean flambed caramel apple crepes, veal kidneys with red peppers, or stuffed pheasant mmm.

What kind of cookware do you use? Stainless steel, copper? What are the good companies?

I use whatever I have on hand. I just make parmesan baked chicken the other day. It was sooo good. I wouldnt say I love cooking but I like to do it. Its a handy skill to have.

Cast iron. The stuff will outlive you, a snap to clean and food tastes so good from a well seasoned pan. I like to smoke mainly though. I do ribs, brisket, pork butt and salmon. I've been wanting to try and make my own bacon.

Cast Iron is amazing, however youl need nostick pans as well. Everything sticks to cast iron if you dont stir it often.

I don't cook food anymore, i eat everything raw.

So my meals would be like

-Handful of blackberries, damsons, bilberry
-Walnuts and almonds
-Organic beef (sterilized but not cooked)
-Couple of heads raw organic brocolli
-Couple of raw organic carrots
-Raw Elderberry juice
-Raw garlic clove
-Raw organic tomatoes
-Fish oil (if i don't eat fish)
-Mouthful of olive oil

I eat like a barbarian.

I use glass pots and pans all the way. The pots are teflon coated of-course.

Although someone once left one of the glass pans on the burner (element) and the thing blasted glass-shrapnel in every direction and nearly killed me...

I like cooking Chicken, with roast potatoes. Spicing is very difficult, but the first chicken I made was incredibly lovely. Adding very light ingreds like Cyan and Rosemary, and then adding some hotter stuff so that you'll get the taste full on, but then notice the less straight-out hot stuff.
It was very very gorgeous! Oh, and the trick for beautiful skin is to soak it in salt-water a night before cooking it, then Roast it on high heat to get rid of the germs and crisp the skin, then low-heat cook it to brown it.

I would if I could. So far my limit is boiled potato cubes with tuna, sweetcorn and melted butter. F'king gorgeous though.

I make really good rice pudding! Man I love that stuff. I'm also pretty alright at doing encheladas (not that packeted crap, but real ones) and tortilla stacks! Mmmmm....

I just did a fantastic chicken stirfry. Yum.

I can cook well, I just can't be arsed.

Toast and pasta for the ****ing wiiiin..

Teflon is really bad for you. It's full of toxins. It's not supposed to break down but if you look at a 10 year old teflon pot you see that a lot of the surface is missing. That's the quantity that you have eaten.

lol!

/me predicts next threads will be "how do you get rid of tapeworms?" followed by "I have the bubonic from drinking unfermented yaks milk" followed by "I have anal leakage due to drinking excessive amounts of oil"

dont do steriods, kiddies it'll shrink your elderberries

Love cooking - some of my specialities are paella, chili con carne, tuna steaks griddled in a coriander, garlic, ginger and chilli marinade, and swordfish topped with a tomato and red pepper relish - Gordon "I'm a tw@t" Ramsey eat your f@*&ing heart out!!! :E

Cookware - i use stainless steel with copper encapsulated bases, and i just bought myself the coolest knife-block ever!!

The meat is sterilized through light heat, any parasites are killed, the meat isn't broken down as much as cooking however. And i don't have to worry about pryons either, there has never been a case of BSE in organic cattle.

I don't drink milk and don't endorse drinking it, apart from your mums when you're a baby.

Roadside caffes are what give you anal leakage, not oil.

yes oil can give you leakage ..certain diet pills/products like Xenical or Olestra can lead to anal leakage

and you said you ate raw carrots which has been linked to botulism in my neck of the woods recently ..a few of the people affected are in critical condition ..however bubonic plague sounds so much nastier

oh and parasites are present in raw vegetables, organic or not
