"Widescreen Room" and "Home Cinema" are pretty nice. I wonder if Source had proper bloom effects, levels could look as nice as the "Widescreen Room" demo? I guess we'll be getting HDR pretty soon.

It won't be long until games actually look like that. Maybe in a 2 or so years?

Nice!

I really think it won't be long before we have this to play with, imagine those with some better textures etc, CGI looking games aren't far off.

I like the one with the DVD player, that would be so useful for maps, I don't think you can do it in Source.

I'm gonna download the one with the water on the island now, see if my card won't melt.

Oh noes! My computer exploded!

But the demos were cool while they lasted!

I'm afraid of downloading it, my 9800XT blew up when I played the F.E.A.R. closed mp beta for about 12 hours in a row :(
This is about the equivalent of the closed mp beta X 8000.

So I'll pass :p

I played the rainy streets with a 9600 no problem

These are great, ran fine and looked fantastic. Full Screen 1024*786 32bit @ 75 Htz

3500+
2 gig of ram 3200 Corsair
6800 GT

of course they ran fine for you. But they ran fine for me.

9600
1 gig of pc2600
2500+

awsome, the coast one is beautiful :O.. Me thinks similar implementation of effects will be in cryengine2.

Oh man, the coast is amazing. The textures may be low Q, and there may be no Bump mapping, but i'll be damned if when I hit the water and came back up in a romantically darkened cove, I didn't go "wow".

Love real time demos :) anyone else got any links?

Home Cinema suffers from lack of AA though, jagged edges everywhere.

I liked celestal city

And I can play all the demo's on highest settings with a 2.4 athalon 512mb 9800 pro.
So don't worry about your PC exploding.

Force AA on them.

Go into your graphics card controll panel and set up a new profile with everything either maxed or high, then bind it to the exe.

How do you bind a profile to an exe?

I dunno, probably a nvidia thing. I've never seen that option in ATI's control panel. You can force AA/AF settings to all games/3d applications though
