well it's not new ..happened in 2003 but the trial will start and they've gone through jury selection ..btw this was asked of jurors:


"Standridge also asked jurors if they or their children played video games and said testimony about video games would play a part in the trial."

They're trying to weed out anyone who might play videogames from the jury, so that they can make false, fabricated statements like the one in the topic post. It's ashame to think that people's ignorance on the subject of video games could affect someones future (in this case let him off easy) in a court of law, but that's where we're at right now.

It's not like this is a new development. Movies went through this same phase, where they were constantly being blamed for crimes and called for censorship. What we're going to end up with is something similar to the current state of movies, where everything is washed up, generic, PG-13 equivalent trash.

That is a straight out lie.

Justice is being ****ed over because not only do defense lawyers not understand what games are, but the prosecuters are too dumb to find out that these are all lies.

I could stand in a court, say that gta "Allows you to rape people with a chainsaw and gives you points" and noone would say anything!!!

I'm sorta wishy-washy happy that by the time i'm 20 people who will have played videogames may actually be in positions of power.
