his video shows a search warrant served by the Columbia Mo. police department. The cops bust in this guys house in the middle of the night and shoot his two dogs (one a pit bull that was caged in the kitchen and the other a Corgi) with children in the home. it turns out that rather than a big time drug dealer, this guy had a small pipe with some resin in it, a grinder, and what the cops here call "a small amount of marijuana" (meaning less than a few grams). We here in Comlumbia want everyone to know what kind of police department we have here, check out our "finest" in action.

good ****ing job

poor dogs :( at least they didn't shoot/kill the other one.

Who was recording this? A police officer I assume?

I hope the family sues the shit out of the cops.

Edit: I am relieved that the Cops didn't shoot him or any of his family. With how ****ing reckless they were, I could see them shooting at anything that moves, including one of the kids running out of fear.

I don't even want to watch the video...

Is there an article to go along with this?

There's nothing graphic in the video. Although hearing the dogs barking/in pain isn't pleasant.

Come on come on, you're fine you're fine you're fine. BUT YOUR DOGS ARE DEAD HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Found this.

A man whose home Columbia police raided in February on a narcotics search warrant has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge and is contemplating a civil action against the department for shooting his two dogs during the raid.

A second dog was shot in the leg but was not killed. The corgi is seen in the video and does not appear to be wounded. There is no indication when the dog was shot, and Dresner previously said he was unsure when the animal was wounded.

I have 100% support and respect for police officers, but not in situations like this ****ing bullshit.

Wow.
Just... wow.

I don't even know what to say.

Did they even provide an explanation as to why they shot the dogs?

This is their excuse.

SWAT team members encountered a pit bull upon entry, held back and then fatally shot the dog, police say. Officers said the dog was acting in an uncontrollably aggressive manner. A video of the raid shows that a shot was fired upon entry, but the pit bull was not wounded until later.

Job well done. You can never be too careful around caged dogs.

Good, the world needs less corgis.

I first read that as in colombia, which was gonna said that no way the man could sue them

Man I've seen videos of guys getting there heads blown off but I can barely watch this. They have no excuse.

I think this should be thoroughly investigated by the internet so the situation can dealt with properly.

lol are you serious? Look at that walrus with the glasses at the end of the clip.

How can you tell anything about his fitness based on that video?

"Look, we're cops. We are pre-disposed to violence, uncontrolled anger and we had to hurt someone that day. His kids looked pretty threatening, but I'd never shot a dog before so that's what I went with."

Cops - Pretending to be a badass because you couldn't break a C average in high school.

Sad stuff really, I wonder what grounds they had to perform a SWAT grade assault on a residential home with a guy and his family? Did they have any reason to believe he was armed and dangerous? This warrant could have easily been served by two patrol officers in the middle of the day in like 15 minutes. I mean if the guy had a bit of personal use weed... I don't know how they managed to obtain a warrant for that kind of action...

Went to school there for a couple years (it's a college town)... never did like that place.

Yes! I was waiting for Unozero to come into the thread. I was eagerly wondering what sort of defense he would have for these officers, but what an unexpected twist!
-He can't defend their actions, so he feels compelled to defend their weight! Fascinating!

One of the most disgusting things I've seen in ages and why the **** should the guy be guilty of anything for having a bit of grass. America you suck.

And this ladies and gentlemen is why you shouldn't give firearms to apes.

I really hope those SWAT officers were stripped of their job. ****ing stupid ****s, had no excuse to shoot the dogs.

This is just ****in ridiculous. End prohibition

I don't understand why cops believe aggression and general assholery motivates people to comply. It sounded like there was one decent person in that whole team, the one initially bringing the wife and child out of the bedroom. He was trying to get them to move past the father laying on the ground, and hes the only one who wasn't screaming at the top of his lungs like a shit head. He said "move past him, move past him." and then as they were moving past like three other guys started screaming at them to move.

That guy was cool, because even after you could hear him trying to calm the wife and kid down and genuinely being a nice guy and trying to explain things. Where as everyone else was just all **** YOU MOVE! MOVE MOVE MOVE! DON'T MOVE! Put your hands behind your back! DO IT NOW. BEHIND YOUR BACK *kick*"

Do they not understand that loud rushed shit like that confuses people and doesn't give them any time to think rationally? All that promotes is gut instinct reaction which makes things more dangerous. If they talked calmly, gave more than two milliseconds for their orders to be understood and complied with before getting physical then everything would be so much safer and less problematic.

Also, if they didn't kill people's dogs for no reason.

To remain a member on HL2.net you must acknowledge that all America hating members are joking or retarded.

I just wanted to turn his meme use against him. It was an easy opportunity.

Good, the world needs less corgis.

Go to hell. I mean, seriously. Go to ****ing hell and never come back.

I hope the bastard who shot that corgi will die in the next month. I sincerely hope he will perish in the most gruesome and painful fashion possible.

Same for the other "cop".

Most cops are violent sociopaths, what else is new?

I hope that video goes mainstream so that each of them are fired.

Fun fact: I'm planning to join the police force in about a year or so.

That is a fun fact.

Would you arrest somebody for something which you didn't think was immoral but was a crime? Say for example, cannabis possession or union shit.

Here's something to muse upon: Police dogs are treated as officers. If you kill a police dog, it's like killing a cop (in terms of your punishment).
