The Jews in Hollywood have written me letter because I downloaded the dumb Movie book of eli I haven't watched and I wasn't really planning on it either.(Not that it matters now.)
For all Verizon Fios Users be careful using torrents.
Does anybody have any stories to share or any security tips??

yeah I just installed that I just run while running a torrent client?

its a slap on the wrist but you should stop. i got a similar one for downloading night and the museum 2 for my nephews and nieces and i completely stopped downloading illegal material. imo it was time to stop doing it and i went too far and downloaded too much. also they can shut off you ISP service or worse you can go to court. if you receive a letter in the mail you are screwed and have to go to court:

http://wiki.phoenixlabs.org/wiki/Type%27s_of_Infringement_Letters

also its better to own the material man, stop stealing and get real. how old are you btw??

I'm 22 I guess I'll only be using Rapidshare from now on.

Its hard to quit but I did it. Besides I'm willing to bet you have mountains of data to go through that'll last you years. I have so many downloaded movies and TV shows I'm set for like 3 years, and thats just TV, for music I have stuff I haven't even listened to and for games that i bought (i never stole any games besides Roms which were mostly out of copyright date because NES games have like a 20 year license) i have like hundreds of games to play from. That and buying a new External HDD every year was getting expensive. If your still on the fence though you should have bounced around more with your downloads. going to the same place once a week to download and not protecting your ISP were your biggest mistake besides downloading. imagine going to jail for 90 days or doing 2000 community service hours, now that would be a bitch!

Pretty much all the movies I ever I download I end up buying the big movies like Star Trek and Watchmen I ended up buying all those on bluray last year...allthough I don't think I would have bought the book of eli :P

they probably don't look at your credit card statements but if i were you i'd buy the bluray or dvd of Eli when it comes out just to be sure.

dont fall into their scare tactics, they send those letters around to a lot of ppl but they never enforce it.

Use ipfilter (utorrent only)

you're going to jail, mister
enjoy your buttrape

Verizon? Verizon won't do shit.

Also, you probably used a public tracker. Good job.

Not that I know, or anything.

I downloaded the dumb movie Book of Eli I haven't watched [it] and I wasn't really planning on it either.

Does anybody else find this to be weird? Why would you download a video you weren't plan on watching?

I was mainly downloading just for the **** of it and if my Grandmother wanted to watch it.

you grandmother wants to watch post-apocalyptic movies? wow
