I decided to play on Water Hazard after installing forceware 90 drivers, and now I have warping ground textures in the water that move towards me as I drive up to them, also when I crouch in the water, some textures just become one shade of a brown/black colour...
I used drivercleaner pro prior to installing the new forcewares...
in trying to correct this problem, i tried a different set of forceware 90's, the ones which i have currently installed, i've reverted back to XTreme-G 84.37.v2 drivers that worked fine before, i reinstalled half-life 2 and directx 9.0c, i've reinstalled xp2 and still had the problem in sp1, had my gfx card on defaults and half-life 2 on defaults, and nothing has helped... (90's not installed anymore)
it reminds me of what happend when I forced directx 9 mode with my old 5600FX card with 3d-analyze...
it's all a bit rather strange, I hope someone has had this problem and solved it... :dozey:
NOTE: I'll try setting my ram to default timings as a last resort and update this to reflect the result, although it's 466mhz RAM on a 400mhz board running @ 400mhz so it should be fine anyways... seeing as it wasn't a problem before hand...
