Hey guys check it out, i got a fix for the crash in the middle of the game. This only works if you can actually get into the game when it crashes.
Okay, go into My computer, then C drive, Program files, Steam, Steam APPS, (your Email account), half life 2, Hl2, SAVE, then right click on any files that have AUTOSAVE in it, scroll to properties at the bottom, then click the READ ONLY box. DO that for all files that have autosave in it. Then, once you've done that, turn off your computer. Turn off the power supply. Take out your stick of RAM, and put it in a different slot ( clean it with high pressured air). Turn power back on, and turn comp on, and start Half life 2. This should fix the sound stuttering and the mem could not be read error. Well it did for me. Email me if it did or didnt work at [email protected].
Hopefully this will fix the error. Although, i did have 1 error after about 6-7 hours of play, but thats better than every 5 mins, right?
