Pre-loading of the Counter-Strike: Source Beta to owners of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and the ATI\HL2 bundle begins today. On Wednesday, this second phase of the beta will open and the beta will be playable to this group.[br]

when preloading, how does it show up in the 'monitor' screen on steam? Does it say cs:s?

I really hope it goes according to plan and begins preloading tonight so that most of those people who do nothing but complain that Valve will never get anything out on time will finally have to shut up.

Of course anything could happen that might make them come and start giving the old "OMG I TOLD YOU SOOOO" routine but so far everything seems fine.

Dedalus, right click on the Steam icon in the sys tray.. it should have "Monitor" there.

Twill be on schedule for pre-loading in another 20 minutes (assuming the schedule is the same as when they let the cafes get it). But since I have found major events like this rarely seem to go according to plan no matter what the company is or how well organized it is it leads me to believe that another 20 minutes could be added assuming any problems that arise are minor.
