The Counter Strike Source lag-run effect problem has been isolated and nailed.
Wayne turned up just now to play a little more CS Source. So just to validate my point, I ran up a hosted game via the LAN. Smooth as silk. I then ran up a Dedicated CS Source server and got him to connect to it. Lo and behold, we turn in to jerk-0-vision again.
I think the last patch to the dedicated server broke something.
LAN hosts take note, you might need a machine running a hosted game, with the player mounted in the spectator slot, rather than a dedicated server till Valve get their arse in gear and fix their last fix.
