You're likes, Dislikes, Loves, Hates?

Feel free to post videos of your favorite songs!

Way to start a thread without actually contributing anything yourself.

Way to reply to the thread without actually contributing anything.
I'm Vegeta what do you expect.
Well how would you like an infraction.
Oh come on he's new here I'm sure he doesn't mind this post.
Okay I'll let it slide.

Country rock can be so-so but straight country music is terrible.

Never liked country music myself, but maybe thats because I only hear the stuff they play on the radio, which is pretty crappy IMO. Willing to bet there is better stuff out there (as with every music genre).

What kind? It's pretty broad and changes over time. Country music today wouldve been called rock n roll back in Elvis' day. Some is good and some is boring.

Johnny Cash, etc I like them.

"Dixie Chicks" "Brooks and Dunn" etc I dont like that stuff very much.

Some of it is good to dance to though like at the club they sometimes play 'Payaso de Rodeo' among all the hiphop and merengue. If you dont like this song, just wait a few seconds into it until it REALLY speeds up!

****ing fun as hell to dance to, no joke.

I kind of like the wall of sound thing country music usually achieves during a typical country music chorus.

Stylistically dead, aesthetically meaningless.
Basically. But also what Danimal said.

Sometimes I feel like I could just smash you two together in a particle accelerator and the end result would be me.

Not really traditional country music or perhaps even country at all, but I just absolutely love Lambchop.

Aw, cmon. No, you cmon.

Country can be ****ing amazing, or ****ing awful; especially since it's so broad these days. Yes, if you turn on your average country station you are 99% guaranteed to find nothing but an awful pop bastardization of country, just like hip hop stations. Country music is everywhere now, intertwined in so many different genres; even your hippity hoppity, bippity boppity.

If your idea of country is solely based on things like Garth Brooks and Willie Nelson, yer a dumb feggit. I don't think people realize how varied it is. Open yer mind, bitches, and have a soul.

Fleet Foxes, country? Realllllly?

(genre arguments are the best arguments ;()

My bad, they are definitely more grunge hip hop electro deathmetal.

Possibly even FOLK? Anyway I apologise for what I've said and done.

Passing fan of the genre thanks to my dad blaring it on the radio all my life.
Never really looked up artists or anything though, I normally just have my radio on a country station.

Always meant to actually get some of the music though.

This thread is now about suggesting country artists to me.

Lol KA thinks folk and country are usually exclusive of each other.

I bet he thinks that way about Hip Hop and Rap too. So cute ^_^

Neil Young and Bob Dylan get me through the day.

That bullshit with a quasi-twang on the radio can stay the **** away, though. Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift can all take a dirt nap for all I care. Their music is terrible

no real use for it in my life besides the allman brothers which i ****ing love

southern rock is sometimes great, most of the rest of country music (especially modern country) makes me want to rip my ears off (or just punch the songwriter in the vagina)

It's mostly rubbish. It gave a few good results when mixed a bit with folk rock, though.
