Crashing HL2

I recently bought Orange Box, and installed Half-Life 2 on my computer. It plays perfectly well for the first bit of the game, but right after the trainyard, I head into the tunnel, turn the corner, and my computer suddenly restarts. Curious, I tried again from a savefile and got the same result at the same exact place. Any clue what could be causing this?

First thing anyone would be to say would be update your video drivers. Ensure you've got the latest.

I have updated my drivers, and the error still occurs. Perhaps I should spring for a new video card. Someone suggested it somewhere.
