Crashing problems just near the start (spoilers possibly for those who just got it)

here is my specs:

Radeon 9800 ALL IN WONDER PRO (latest catalyst drivers)
Windows XP (SP 2)
1024 MB RAM
PENTIUM 2.8 Ghz

The game starts fine i click new game then I play until I get to the first loading screen (after I escape through the window) and my game crashes. This is constantly happening, I cant get past this part. I also try loading a game I saved (right before it gets to that loading screen) and the game doesnt load up- it shows the loading progress until its 100 percent completed and my screen turns black.

HELP ME!

Crashing

Make sure you have the latest and greatest video card drivers, find them at the website of the video card manufacturer. That kind af crashing is almost always the fault of video card/drivers.

One more thing, AMD does not always play nice with the other kids (drivers/hardware), as I posted in a previous info.

I wasnt trying to insult anyone, i was just telling him I have a pentium processor because he was talking about AMD. Dont mean to bother anyone my bad
