Crashing

Dunno if anyone else is getting this. When I first installed CS:S (when there were no patches) the game worked great! Since the updates i've been getting frequent crashes to desktop. Most of the time I select a server to join then just as the progress bar almost reaches 100% I get one of those annoying system error beeps and then I get returned to desktop with no message at all. I can start my own server up no problems and can sometimes join others but It's really annoying. Also I get crashes half way through games about 15 minutes in to playing. Anyone else had anything like this? I've tried the fixes mentioned in other threads and both worked the first time I run the game and then it ends up like it is now. bah

My system is:

2500XP overclocked to 3200 speeds
512 Corsair RAM
Abit Nforce 2
SB Live
Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb

Latest drivers for everything.

Open the \Steam\errorlogs\ directory for some clues.

I had the same problem, but after changing the video settings then restarting CSS it worked fine.

Sometimes I get a crash, I fix it by exiting out of Steam and starting it back up.

Tried all that, I did find that changing the video settings seemed to get it out of crash mose for a little while. Might try installing earlier ATI drivers. Cheers!!
