Crates & Barrels

Awesome! I was thinking just the other day about doing something like this. They should be categorized into exploding and not. They are such an icon of video games.

edit - there's several games missing. This list could get out of control rather easily.
 
Wouldn't it be quicker to make a list of games that don't have crates and barrels?

ahh..the blissful memories. My first ever 3d game.
 
Would've been better if they only showed explosive crates and barrels & crates and barrels that usually contained goodies.

Probably the only games that dont have crates and barrels are most sports games, I guess.

Crates and barrels are just an easy way to fill up empty space :D
 
Minesweeper?

kidding. I did notice some arcade games in the list. If he's going to include that genre, the number of crateless/barrelless games suddenly becomes huge.
 
It almost irritates me how many games have them. . it's like a cop out almost.

i don't want to put any interesting things in the enviroment, so i'll fill it with crates! ya! lotsa crates! and exploding barrels!
 
Yeah, even Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis had crates you had to move aside to proceed down the 'Wits' path. :)
 
Come to think of it, Portal had very few if any crates and barrels, if I remember correctly. That's if you don't count the Cubes, of course.
