Crazy Anime Whatsitsface

There was some cartoon, as us white people like to call it

- Anime

- obviously Japanese

- Aired on Adult Swim (i think)

- had some crazy looking monster with crazy eyes and hair and huge sharp teeth

- Possibly only the girl character could see it or something

- Like she had a brother that died, but it turned out that the monster was her brother or something.

Anyway, so I'm trying to find out what it was so I can watch it.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure if that is it though, because the plot seems different. A different crazy looking monster with crazy eyes and hair and huge sharp teeth that can appear out of thin air.

OK, just looked at the top 100 anime and Death Note is the only one that even resembles what I was thinking of. That must be it.

It sounds like the beginning storyline of Bleach, one of the earlier episodes.

Did the girl have orangey-brownish kind of hair? Was there an orange-haired protagonist with a huge sword?

besides the details like where I saw it, it was about 5 months ago on Adult Swim I think...

This is the only thing I remember:

It was a girl, and she was in her room, and the monster like appeared or something

at the end the monster turned out to be her dead brother or something

Actually... sounds kind of like this one random anime I caught the first episode of. Took place in a high school? The demon-that-was-her-brother guy turned into like a serpent type dealie? The main guy has the whole "latent power" thing like in Bleach and wields a huge f*ck-off energy sword out of nowhere?

Name eludes me though, no idea how I'd find it again now. =/

I think he would appear in certain situations, I remember he appeared and the girl was unconscious, laying on the floor of her room. The demon came through a portal or something. It was wicked. There was some guy throughout the episode sort of explaining things and helping her I think. Yeah he may have had a sword. It was assumed by me that the demon was going to hurt her or something, but she realized it was her dead brother and she had to convince the demon that she missed her brother or something so he would stop being a dick. I remember now, there was a guy with a sword or something to fight it back - he was like the only one capable. The demon didn't like this guy. Maybe the brother demon was protecting her from the guy that was actually helping her (the guy that was helping seemed untrustworthy and egotistical)

remembering now, I think the brother/demon was upset with her - he didn't think she remembered him or think of him anymore or something. YEah

I'd really like to see it - and the rest of the episodes if there were more of them.

Ah, that sounds less like the one I saw. In mine the main character is the guy with the sword, only he doesn't know it... some sort of ghost/angel/something girl comes along and explains that he has some kind of power, of course naturally he's more powerful than she ever could have imagined, prophesized one, overcome all odds, etc etc. The girl in the episode was either the sister or friend of the main guy, and there was a demon after her that was either her brother or... now that I think of it, it might have been her teacher.

So yeah, probably not the right one.

It did seem pretty dumb though, which is why I only ever saw the first episode.

I actually had never heard of it when I saw it. I'm more a fan of the art than the plots they have. Anime annoys me generally.

I do like enjoy watching this stuff on a rare occasion - more family oriented stuff like Studio Ghibli's works, and death note seems a bit interesting.

I love stuff like Family Guy, The Simpsons, Futurama, and anything with Wylie Coyote.

Family Guy is my current favorite animated series.
