I've recently been experiencing some major problems with the games running on the HL: Source Engine, but mostly Counter Strike. I can play the game anywhere from 10 to 40 min and everything runns smooth, around 65 fps. Then something very weird happen's. The game goes into a sound studder (I know you've heard this one before) but whats weird is the level real-time rendering goes insane I shows only peices of the level like the 3d skybox, then the foreground, then the physics objects in random order, refreshing itself only about once every 4 seconds. This problem has happened consistantly and I was wondering if anyone had some advice
My System Stats are as follows:
Dual AMD Athlon MP 2800+'s
Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4600 128 MB
1 Gb Ram
This might be causing a problem but My Video Card Fan burned up sometime recently, I compensated by taking off the side panel of my computer and blasting a 1.5 ft diameter fan towards the video Card. After Waiting A few Min,(like 20) I tried the game again, Still no help.
