crazy mouse

If you haven't already seen my first post, heres the problem i have.
In the video, as you can clearly see, something is very wrong with the game when ever I decide to move my mouse. If this happened with any other game I would just reinstall and boom problem fixed, but since I got this game in a special ATI graphics card offer I don't know how to reinstall the game and Im afraid if I uninstall it I will lose the game for good. Any help on how to fix the problem specifically or on how to safely reinstall the game would be GREATLY appreciated. Hmm seems like a mouse sensitivity issue, which shouldn't matter in game if you've already reduced your 'mouse' option sensitivity to something low.

Validate your HL2: DM files, by right clicking the game in your 'my games' list then clicking properties. Click the files tab, then click 'validate integrity of game cache'.

Because it seems like a mouse issue on it's own, also check out your mouse software, if you have a special mouse with on the fly sensitivity changes. Update drivers if necessary, and try playing with the mouse settings through windows to see if it makes a difference.

Just so you know, you can't lose your game if you remember your steam log in username and password. You simply put this in wherever you log in with Steam, and you can download the game from Steam & play.

Also posting your specs of your computer and mouse may be useful.

Yeah some more info would be helpful:

1. Type of mouse and drivers if applicable.

2. Have you tried using a different mouse to see if the mouse itself is just bad?

3. In windows, what is the mouse sensitivity set to?

4. What senstivity have you set the mouse to in the game options?

EDIT: If you uninstall and reinstall, the game should stay on your list, there is no reason it would be removed completely. Steam games just moves uninstalled games to the uninstalled section.

The mouse itself i know is fine, it works on all other fps games i have such as halo, combat arms, even hl2 lost coast.

by the way, where do i uninstall it? theres nothing in my computer or steam that say uninstall.
im fairly new to this so bear with me lol

I think you can right click on Hl2DM in your games list and click uninstall from there. Try it and I will also check tonight to make sure.
