Create game problems

I've been trying to show my clanmates the custom map I've made, but they're having problems connecting to my server. For a start they say it doesnt appear on the server list. I've tried sending them my ip number and port but that doesnt work either, I've tried turning off my firewall and they still cant see it. Is there something I dont know about making a HL2 DM server?

Help would be very appreciated

Are you sure it is the right folder i.e. in the HL2DM folder, and not the Counterstrike:source folder
