Hey guys i was just wondering on what you think on this 2.1 setup. Basically i want a good system for music, gamming i'am not too concerned about. Now these cost more then some 5.1 systems but i'am just looking for some nice decent music speakers.

Thoughts ?? , recommendations??

I've been looking at these too, exclusively for music. There's a review at www.tomshardware.com, but tom isn't really reliable when it comes to audio.

I'm worried about a muddled low end but I think I'll buy them anyway.

Why not buy real speakers/amp? Much better than the small crappy pc speakers :)

I've got some Creative 5.1 black ones, and they're ****ing amazing. I love them! I used to have the 2.1 System, some of the earliest Creative speakers but they were really noisy, so I'm glad about these ones...

and much more expensive, besides these aren't crappy

You can do much more with"real" speakers/amps. You can build a great surround system for you TV/compy, you dont have to buy everything right from the start.

Im picking my new NAD amp up this weekend \o/

yer some 5.1 6.1 and even 7.1 systems are cheaper then these so i'm weighing the options. I just want really good music speakers so i don;t have to buy a setero :p , i mean yer the beast machine is upstairs.

So yer 2,1 is what i'm after atm

hey i read somewhere today about the low mid prob u stated and he said at first he thought they were ok , but after a couple of weeks he said after they were broken in they ran great , the bass evened out etc ,

so i'm placing my order now :)_

Cool, pls post your experiences when you get them. (If I haven't ordered mine by then :))

:afro:

Headphones work for me, plus I use voice communication so its a multi-tasking audio setup, and doesnt bother neighbors/family.

Yeah but headphones are to intrusive for e.g. reading. Besides a decent set of cans will set you back more than a decent pair of speakers.

But yeah I use headphones too

well i have my speakers !!!, and they are a hell lot better then my previous set. Love the clarity , and i'm expecting them to get better over time as i've read in a couple of places.

I'd recommend them for music anyday :)!

I have the logitech z640's right now, wanted the z680s, but those were about $200 more, and I didn't have the money. These are a LOT better than what I had before, shitty 2 piece emachines speakers ::shudders:: . Mine are guaranteed for life, too, so if i ever decide I don't like them anymore, blow 'em, get my money back, and get a better set. I would get a "real" speaker/amp system, but I'm in college, and us college students aren't exactly known for having a lot of extra cash to burn (not my broke ass anyways)
