I got this problem... When I turn my resolution higher, all other things also increase in size. More than the resolution increased. Examples:

HUD, switched-to-burst thingy, playernames when u aim on them, crosshair, etc.

When I play at 800x600, the crosshair is nice and small for some nice headshots, but when I turn the resolution higher, the crosshair keeps getting bigger. The 1600x1200 small is about the 800x600 large. I really want a small crosshair, but I don't want a crappy resolution where you can't see if that dot is an enemy head or a friggin bucket at some distance...

Anyone knows how to make your crosshair even smaller than small in the options?

cl_crosshairscale is your friend in this kind of situation. I set it a 2500 when I play at 1600x1200...

 Try to set the different resolution settings while you are not in a game. People's names get huge when I change resolutions while in-game.

cl_crosshairscale larger = larger crosshair? Becuase when it is 1600x1200 small (=800x600 large) its 1200 in the config.cfg file.

no

Set it at whatever size you want... start the game at 1600x1200 and set it at cl_crosshairscale "2500" if 2500 is too small try 2000, or 2200, or whatever! :)

It's so friggin annoying! When I put my crosshair @ large @ 800x600, then goto 1600x1200 and back to multyplayer options, then it shows (in the small picture) the size of the 800x600 large and the setting is also at large. If you reselect large, it becomes HUGE (the real 1600x1200).

But when I put it @ small @ 800x600, and then to 1600x1200, it doesn't stay the same size but becomes larger. And when I reselect small then, it doesnt change! AAAAARF

And editing the crosshairscale ingame in the console doesnt make ANY differense. I tried 1200, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000 and 5000. All the same. Same for when I edit the configfile, or just in the console but when not playing...

Well something going wrong with your PC. I can show you some pics of different size of crosshair if you want.

Allright, that's it.

Changing the crosshair @ 1600x1200 now doesn't work at all. It's fixed @ the 800x600 large size. No matter what I do, it stays at that size.

Maybe I should reinstall? (ffs :-P)

OMFG delete this topic I'm such a noob sometimes ^_^

I had cl_crosshairscale 0, so setting a crosshairscale was disabled o_O
