how the flufflyn hell do i make a cross section in 3ds and do i edit them, i tred patch edit in modifiers menu as said in the user refence but none worked :/

do you mean wireframes? Select "Force Wireframe" when you render.
If you mena cross section as in seing half your model, give it a 2-sided material, then convert to editable poly/mesh, slect half the polygons, delte them, then render.

dont delete them!. select the half you want to keep. (using editable poly , face select) then , scroll down and click 'hide selected',.. and when you want that half back again, click 'unhide all'. if you delete the other half, that will just create complications, unless you want it deleted
