What do you make of it? Is it perhaps a hint to a new Halo game?

I thought Gearbox was making the new halo game and Bungie wanted to do their own thing.

Gearbox is working on Halo wars, but Bungie may be planning to make a new Halo. They were going to release some mysterious news at E3, but they were canceled so that more recent titles could get show time.
 
Err... Halo Wars is developed by Ensemble...

Gearbox is working on a different Halo game.
 
due to the fact that bungie's hardly made any smash hits besides Halo. them leaving Halo behind was like saying "we dont want that giant pile of money".

no one is "artistic" enough to do that.
 
I think they should test something else. **** it, assign a few staff members to work on Xbox live arcade game or something in their spare time..

Test the water.

I will never like Halo, no matter how many times they improve it.

That's not to say they don't have skill and talent, I just think it's wasted. Sure, it's stupid not to make a sequel for each new hardware system, but create new IPs as well - or even a spin off using the Halo universe. Yoshi quest, Mario Math/typing tutor? Mario RPG? Halo something not halo?

Bungie are working on three different projects - or at least, several. They are continuing with DLC and stuff for Halo 3, and this KEEP IT CLEAN buisness seems to be Halo related but doesn't sound like it's MP focused. This cryptic stuff has been going on a while now. Before E3, a countdown appeared to when an announcement was going to be made but the plug was pulled and they've had to wait a while.

It's also said that another project of theres won't be Halo related, but this stuff has UNSC and a bunch of other terms used so whatever that is, it hasn't submerged yet.
 
The only way I will like a Halo game is if they make a Halo game like Super Metroid. Actually, maybe they should just make a new 2D HD Metroid. Ah, the beauty of hope!!

I'm guessing they're taking the franchise in a new direction. My money is on Halo: Tetris edition.
 
if its a FPS as long as the SP is as mint as its always been i'll be happy :D

Like I said, Bungie are working on several different products right now. They've said that the Halo ride isn't over yet, but more importantly, they've got their sights set on new projects. However, whatever this is looks to be one of the several that will be a continuation of the Halo universe, but other than that, who knows?
