D: dammit i don't have enough hard drive space T_T

Thats ****ed up. I'll still download it though. For free. Because i dont want to pay full price for something that i can't get full potential from anyway.

That's absolutely ridiculous. I mean, chances are, I'll be around the recommended by the time it comes out, but still.

heh

just at minumum there myself

3.2ghz p4
x800xt
gig of ram

Lets see, I have the dual core processor, I have the x1800Xt, I have the 2 gigs of ram....but the thing I'm missing is the DVD DRIVE!! D:

Got everything for recommended except the dual core CPU. But i'm not too worried about that.

Hopefully i can play at full on a nice res (hopefully 12x10 at least :))

I'm all set for the recommended except Vista..

Not bad I guess.

Condemned for the PC takes up 8GB, I don't see why that is so much to give a crap about..

Got everything recommended expect the graphics card ( geforce 6800 GS )

I'd be suprised if the game looked anything but crap at minimum spec, and even more suprised if it ran well at recommended. More than ever before pc developers are understating the hardware needed to run their games in order to attract more customers.

Swapping recommended with minimum I think will be more accurate.

Make the kids get jobs, and take their paychecks to pay for the computer... then use your money to feed them.. If you've got any left.

I've got the recommended (minus Vista of course). But if previous games are any indicication for the performance I'll get, then I won't be able to max it out a decent resolution with any playable frame rate. I'd guess somewhere in the meduim-high settings at 1024x768 with about 20fps.

I agree with this.

Seagate 750 GB Barracuda SATA 3.0 GB/s 7200.10 Sells for $375.00 US

Seagate 3.0Gbps 400GB 7200RPM 16MB Barracuda 7200.9 Sells for $161.71 US

Hitachi 1.5Gbps 160GB 7200RPM 8MB Deskstar 7K250 Sells for $55.99 US

I am close with an Athlon XP 3000+ 2GB of RAM and a 6600gt. Hopefully though I'll be getting a new PC in a few days so I'll be good for another couple of years.

I guess I'll upgrade next year. That Radeon 9800 Pro of mine will sooner commit hara kiri than touch that thing.

I dont need to upgrade and i got the recommended. Neat. Well ill still be upgrading to dx10 so that doesn't matter.

Still good news im ready to go for Crysis.

Not surprising at all. The requirements seem a little high, but to be fair, most people have been lagging behind in terms of CPU/RAM/HDD requirements.

I'll be set for the recommended except video card, but I'll just upgrade to a DX10 some time later.

After seeing the demo, I can't say I'm suprised at all.

im slightly underneith the minimum requirements, just slightly. Guess i can play with very low graphics.

Hmm. I'm sure I'll be able to run it with my current rig. The question is, will it look like shit?

I'm going to upgrade this holiday season and I'll be above the recommended then. I'm not really surprised though and I don't know what the fuss is about the requirements. They don't seem unreasonable to me, it's like when Epic first showed of UE3 and it chugged on a 6800 Ultra. It takes powerful hardware to render all that goodness.

The best thing is that it's not going to cost an arm and a leg to get it. Core 2 Duo starts sub $200 while the best deal is the 6600 for $300, and Ati and nVidia will be coming out with new and better cards which will drive down the price of existing ones.

I for one can't wait to play this game.

I really dont want to upgrade to Vista just for this game.

The problem I seem to percieve with this excessive necessity of upgrading my computer to play Crysis (for example) is that I do know it will be another FPS game with the same fundamental "ingredients". Shoot, cover, shoot more, change level, shoot again. The exorbitant gap between those requirements and those we need three-four years ago don't seem to be justified by the gameplay outcome. Better graphics, yes. Gaming evolution, not much imo.

umm your kidding right??? about the 6600 $300..........that is not a deal at all

Barely meet the minimum. I may be lagging behind with the video card though, I have an x1600 Pro.
