CS 1.6 problem

When I want to connect I get:

Local servers are restricted to local clients (Class C)




Even though the games do show up, why does it restrict me from joining?

local clients... mayb lan? perhaps see if you have some kind of lan setting on.

maybe try installing over the top or just general uninstall reinstall and hope for the best.

All of them.

I have this special kind of internet. It's sort of like LAN, goes way up to 1.5 mb/sec download speed at microsoft servers.

But the problem isn't with my connection, but with the game itself. Since CS 1.5 works fine...

this message appears when trying to join games that are LAN only.
it appears for me when one of my freinds have started a server, as CS automatically makes all custom servers LAN, until the crator enters sv_lan 0 into the console.

basicly, your internet connection is being told that all the CS games are set up on a LAN... but i have no idea how this can be prevented.
