cs-cz delayed????

Rumour on planethalflife.com is that CS-CZ will be delayed. this after the game has offically been anounced as GOLD. hmm.

it was announced as gold by ritual entertainment but valve didnt like the results when they got thier hands on it so they have palmed it off to ANOTHER studio to do...

Matt, why would they change their mind at the end of development? I mean they had to know how it was all the way through. Why at the end would they say "Oh, thats not like we wanted it." And switch it to a new dev team for a new game? That would be like a year delay, I think thats nuts. I think itll be out on time. No offense Matt, Im arguing with what you herad, not you.

What MaTT said is true. Ritual was done with their work, and handed it over to VALVe. However, VALVe got negative feedback from the community on what was supposed to be a "mediocre" mission based FPS.

They went back with the Tony Hawk style gameplay that everyone wanted, and only included some of Ritual's work in the "Deleted Scenes" extra in what went gold

CZ being delayed is not good news.. yes i read ur statement correctly about u not looking forward to it..

but CZ is more than likely the first "stress test" if u will on the Steam network.. the longer its delayed, the longer HL2 will be delayed. :|

i didn't say that... i guess if CZ gets cancelled, than some other game will have to be the "stress test" for the Steam network..

are pple around here foolish enough to think they would release HL2 without a some sort of stress test? i guess if u are, it also explains why ur not part of major projects like Steam being readied for a HL2 release..
