CS just freaked out

I jump through a window in a custom map I'm making and I freeze in place, frame rate drops to 1 frame every 5 seconds, and I get the no-refresh splurge wipe crap in the upper right corner of the screen. Textures flash from ultra-low to ultra high quality, and my AK decides it's had enough of this crap and takes a hike.

Never happened before, and I can't get it to repeat.
