As I take a break from revising Political Ideas, (Communism at the moment) I have stumbled across an interesting piece of news from CVG regarding a deal between Valve and Sky Sports (a British subscription based sporting network owned by Rupert Murdoch) to start screening Counter-Strike tournaments on Sky Sports Xtra.[br]
Valve and Sky have signed a deal to produce a program based around Counter-Strike tournaments. In case you need reminding Counter-Strike is the massively popular online team-based shooter.[br]As we understand it Sky has purchased the broadcasting rights from Valve Software for Counter-Strike in the UK and the firm intends run regular TV shows around organised competitions for screening on Sky Sports Extra.
[br]This is certainly an interesting development, and I will be most interested to see what kind of coverage this will get. Read the article from CVG here[br]And back to my revision I go!

Wicked. I wonder how they'll fix the direct streaming from computer to TV though.

Sweet! Counter-Strike is moving in the right direction. This is very good news for me considering im trying to go pro. CGS now SKY.

Cool stuff, even though I don't play much CS, I'll defo check out the show :afro:

Interesting. I'll check it out, provided there's nothing better on at the time :P

No doubt they will have to edit it for the swearing

I bet they stick on some "hilariously" "wacky" presenters who are just soooo "out there", and make the whole thing "cool" and "hip" and totally "unwatchable". Oh wait, I mean unwatchable.

If they do serious coverage with decent commentary tho, that would be cool.
