CS questions

Im updating CS:S from the $55 dollar package I bought at a store (Around 10**HOURS**) and im wondering these questions.

1.)Is CS:S A Game that you play online with other people or off line?
2.)Are the controls the same as Half-Life2?
3.)If it is online is there a monthly fee to play w/other people?
4.)How do I connect to the server to play online?

(Im sorry about my "n00b/un1337" questions"

1) It's mainly a game you play online and you have to connect to steam first to play it. Offline you could play if you set up a LAN.
2) Controls are mainly the same but of course they're customizable.
3) No there is no fee, as long as you already have an internet connection, you're good to go.
4) If you have steam downloaded then you can connect to it then either click on servers from the list or right click on the steam icon located at the bottom right hand corner of your windows system bar and select servers - Set your filters to your area and a map to search for like de_dust2 or something.
