CS:S beta download and files

When you have the beta dloaded are you able to burn the files to a cd and move them onto another computer? And thus play the beta?

The reason I ask is because I am on dial up and the only way to get it would be to have my bro take his laptop to his friends house and dload it.

I wish Valve would of had a 56k'ers option of recieving a cd with the beta on it.

yes, yes you can... just get any cache file w/ the words "source" in it and copy it to your Steam folder

(maybe some one can be more specifc for the guy, i can't be arsed)

Specifically:

in

your games dir\steam\SteamApps\
copy:
counter-strike source base content.gcf
counter-strike source shared content.gcf

as well as the files for any other games you want.

Copy them onto the new install and it will be checked and verified.

its currently about 450 MB of content.
