CS:S Beta in Steam Games Tray?

I haven't logged in to Steam in a while, and when I installed Episode 1 today, I noticed below Counter-Strike: Source was Counter-Strike: Source Beta. I haven't heard anything about it being released recently. When did they add this?

ya i downloaded that about 2 weeks ago and im not sure what it is. unless its the beta from before hl2 was released because i have never opened it once.

Edit: confirmed that its the dyanmics pricing beta of css

Yep that's the Dynamic Pricing beta. Most people don't know that it's a separate beta. It will be merged with the normal css eventually.

Oh, well that explains alot. I've kinda been in the dark lately, what is Dynamic Weapon Pricing supposed to be?
