CS:S bug or not?

I dont know how to explain this but I get this static noise or

something like that. It just doesnt sound right, and I also get low

FPS in certian spots, this isnt an ordinary FPS loss I aslo get crappy

sound like the sound just stops and goes for example: Fi Fire Fire in

In In the hole. This is the only game I have problems with.

This problem makes me not want to play this game anymore, I hope

valve fixes this in their next patch. :frown:

some other people seem to be having the same problem, not me, change to lowest sound options and it might fix it.

ya I just tried Direct X 7 and it fixed everything. It looks crappy though but still quite entertaining. :hmph:

it fixed my problem but for some odd reason I get about the same FPS.

I did just buy new card (x800pro) , but i did have the same pb as you i think its the card because i did have the same card and maybe your memory 512 ,better is 1024 for high settings.
