CS-S Connection Problems

[Pulse]

Ever since the new patch, CS-S has been regularly failing to connect to servers... I can connect to and play in HL2-DM servers fine, but whenever I try to join a CS server it hangs on "Sending client info..." and I get either of the following pop-up:

The console says something about 'downloads/52a682cb.dat' corrupt file perhaps?
