CS:S Graphics-improvement mod

You can't povide a single model with better lighting.

As for the mod it looks nice but not worth the effort of installing in my opinion.

Been using this for around a week now, and it's absolutely gorgeous. A lot of the time it's not that noticible, but when it is... yow.

lol whats this negative view of this mod? "please close" "too much time", hes put his time to improve your game experience. So dont put it down.

its not a mod, its simply the player skin with specular and bumpmap maps added, it does look and work great though (when noticeable as Axyon said)

however, it has been posted at least 12 times since last week.

I can't get it to work or i see no difference at all. I have even changed to Directx9 mode with no luck.

I think its a nice idea, but tbh from what i can see the guy has just run the player skin through Nvidias normal map filter plugin for PS. If you check out the guys trousers all the areas of different colour's appear to have their own depth ie: black is raised, white is set back with grey somwhere inbetween...

Not to say i think it sucks, but there really isnt a lot of work been put into it. To get a really decent normal map you have to either do it very well by hand or make a high poly version of the player model and bake a normal map from that.

Not worth installing? It takes about 15 seconds...

open it in winzip click extract, check the box that says keep folder names. browse to the steam folder go to steamapps\youremail. click extract. start cs. how simple is that?
