I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was going to be any new models and if so, are they going to add any Female models. As am sure there are girls/woman playing the game aswell.

Well... obviously there are going to be some new ones... in fact they all have to be new since it's a (mostly) different engine. So yea, all the old models will be remade. But as for truely new ones, we dont really know yet.

women walk in a different fashion then men so it would have to be an entirely new set of animations most likely (unless you want a very mannish woman)

The Half-Life Source port are just using re-compiled versions of the original models. But yeah they are re-making the CS:S ones.

At the moment it will just be a basic port of the game with new graphics. There won't be any additions as such to the gameplay in terms of new player classes or new weapons.

They are saving that for CS2 :)

No they're not going to add female player models, this isn't tomb raider.

I know this isn't about there being female models but it's about the models in general. Is it me or are the legs on all the models too long. They look kinda gangly.

For those of you who don't know here's what gangly means.

gangly

adj. tall and thin and having long slender limbs; "a gangling teenager"

As CS:S has only been in development since January 2004, I'm hoping that they will re-do all of the models we have seen so far. I don't like the Desert Eagle model we've seen (it's not as realistic as the CZ one even. The CZ one has cool animations where you can see the new shell be drawn into the chamber after each shot). Also I don't like the terror player model we've seen.

All of the handguns in the CS:S videos I've seen look strange. Most of them look ballooned up, and almost cartoonish. Oh well, I still can't wait for the beta :)

Yeah you have to consider valve hasnt had much time to make the game. So much of the stuff needs to be redone to make it look up-to-date w/ the engine, and the just havnt had time to make it look its best yet. Though i do hope the improve the current terrorist model. He looks like a hunch-back or something witht the way his head is forward and stuff. I like the SEAL model though, it's much better
