are they really going to use the old player models? the ones in CZ are so much more unique and awesome! !!! ;(
 
Could be intellectual property rights problems they can't be ****ed dealing with at the moment?

Could be that they have planned some more kickass models they'll use later down the track?

Either way, i trust Valve and i know they'll have it under control. If the final version has crap models, THEN and only THEN can we proceed to criticsize.
 
didn't mean to criticize, i was just asking whether or not they planned on using newer models while simultaneously showing my contempt for the old ones.
 
I dunno I like the artic model, haven't seen the source version yet though.
 
whats so bad about these models anyway??? only the terrorist head looks a bit weird. (but i havent really played it yet only saw all the screens :cheese: )
 
Out of the CZ models I don't like the Leet Crew... He just doesn't seem Leet in it :p

They probably just don't want to deal with too much stuff right now... CS:S Test is to look for Source engine issues and such... They have like 5 maps fully converted to Source other than de_dust, but that's not the point of the test.

LOL! agreed. Hopefully they will have a better one if they decide to make CZ:S...that model looks pitiful
 
I hope they use some better models cuz its like impossible to tell a t from a ct in the dark. on 1.6 the models are so different from each other its hard to not know when you are about to shoot a teammate.

in css ive been shooting teammates left and right, plus it doesnt say you shot a teammate in the bottom anymore so i was shooting the shit out of teammates on an FF server and i had no idea cuz teammates dont bleed when you shoot em unless you really lay into em, and theres no warning message.


i got a lot of other gripes i plan to bring up when the beta starts rolling on wed/
 
i know which one is which im saying the shapes of the models are too similar. ill get out the photoshop and show you what im talking about.

watch this space for a picture later.
 
I concur, its a little odd how badly animated those models are in comparison to the CZ models.

I mean they move like hunchbacked monkeys.

Its about the only bad point I could pick out of the short short time I got with the beta.
 
I suppose you could always give the CT's angel wings and halos and the T's devil horns and an evil red aura *shurgs*

Its more the animations are unrealistic. try sidstepping like that and you wont move smoothly, you have to cross your legs.

Necks are too far forward and the characters just don't move as realistically as CZ
 
I think they'll be remaking ALL of the models, so we should have 4-5 on each side but thats probably the least of their worries at this point.
 
ofcourse they gonna remake them all, only 2 models would be pretty dumb :)

yeah, but it's still better than the classic 'CS waddle'(walking and crouch walking) .......
