CS:S server/router problem

Hey guys

I just installed a Zyxel prestige 334 router to play with my bro together. Internet works fine for both of us, even MMORPG's.

In CS:S we're able to get a server list(ping is nice) but when one of us is trying to join a server the latency goes up to 2000 and the internet connection is down for the computer who tried to join the server. The other computer is still online

The internet connection established itself after a few minutes...

Without the router it works...
Anyone has a idea what it could be and/or how we can solve it?

edit: If one of us uses 'all seeing eye' the same problem occurs

There is some setting in the router that messes all up. We have nothing found so far... ...with battlefield the excact same problem occurs... :hmph:

Relax, no need to make so many posts. What you need to do is set up static IP addresses for the computers on your network. Right now you are probably using DHCP, thats what is used by default when you just plug your computers into the router/switch.

My computer starting doing the same after the update to fix the favorites tab. You find a fix yet? Desktop shows lost connection, trying to re-establish. Doesn't happen all the time either.

Did you open any ports?

Read that, your problem may be that you need to open those ports on your router. Also you may need to specifiy different ports for each computers CSS:
