CS:S Source problem!

Just finished downloading the update for counterstrike.
I have it set to play in offline mode. due to a dialup connection.
But when i create a server, to begins to load the map, and resources
gets two thirds complete and stops, after a minute it says
" Disconnected, Failed to connect after four retries "
I have given access to steam and HL2, with my firewalls and antivirus.
Its not really possiblle to play online with my connection speed,
so i preffer to play it offline.
I had a simular problem with SC:s before but cant remember how i fixed it!
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

havent a clue how to fix but cs:s stands for counterstrike source, so you dont need to say cs:s source

try and and redownload the files, or run the steam validation thingy to see if your files are corrupt

thats what i'd do. i'll see if i can find the link, I know someone has it in there sig, hopefully they will post in here.

Dam thing took a funny idea and started working again!
Hurray time to play some SC:S.
