CS Source locks up in loading main menu

I installed Lost Coast yesterday. After that, all of my Steam games started acting suspiciously on startup. The main menu never appears until I hit some random keys; with CS Source even that won't work. It just locks up after the "Loading" box disappears from the bottom right corner.

Can anyone suggest what to do? This all started when I downloaded Lost Coast from Steam.
