I made a CS: Source movie and finished it about a few days ago and posted it in the forums where I hang out a lot. So far people have really liked it. So I guess I will post it here? The movie contains 2 parts, Part 1 is called The Dust (the main movie part), Part 2 shows a bunch of good first person action. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy it as much as everyone else has...

that was nice editing, but i think that the shots could of been a little better
 
the third person part was nice. I didn't like the first person.
You play too defensive, like let the other people rush and die while you kill the enemey from the back.

What kind of specs do you have on the computer you captured the footage with?

CPU/memory/videocard? What kind of FPS do you get?

Hey i know i'm gonna sound like a total noob but i want to make my own movie and i was wondering if you cud help me out - how did u manage to get those different angles whilst play was going on , is there a way to choose camera angles whilst playing back a demo whilst recording using fraps or did u do this another way? any help would be much appreciated. :thumbs:
 
When you die, you can float around while still recording. Thats how he gets the angles.
 
I was in spectator mode, I use a digital camera with s-video to record my movies on the computer btw.
 
Anyways, thanks for the comments and replys. I am glad you liked it. I'm planning on making another scripted CS: Source movie, but not anytime soon. Wanting to make a DoD Source movie before I make another CS:S movie.

Ok, first I want to say that this Video is just great. Theres just one thing that surprised me. In the last scene you mentioned the URL flashforum.de. I'm and active member of this community and we were all pretty surprised when we saw this link. Well pratically not the best movie i've seen... well nice made couldnt do it any better.... the 1ste person i didnt like to well.. 2 or 3 nice actions for 4 mins of 1ste person! well the 3th person i liked very much. Nice angels. mayb next time the running out of the base part could be let out of the movie it doesnt add anything imo.

I downloaded the movie and watched it.
The quality wasn't much to brag about.
The frags wasn't anything spectacular.
The music didn't tickle my taste.
I've watched a lot of cs-flicks in my life, so I'm just abit spoiled I guess.
Overall a pretty good movie. Nice effort :)

I thought about making a movie myself. I've got about 20demos on my computer, but never seem to get the time to start making a movie. It's hard work.

We dont want to see shitty old 1.6 movies, this is the best cs movie out for Source right now, imho.
