if the beta comes out before hl2, and i get it(plz god) and i run it at full settings 16as 8AA 1240x1024, without any problems and a damn good fps, will that mean that Hl2 will run justa as well on those specs/

If you made your computer just for half life 2 then it will definatly run cs source. I dont know why people keep asking this question. Half life 2 is more demanding then cs source.

Radeon 9800 Pro can't do 8x FSAA, it can only do up to 6x FSAA.

I'd say you should run fine at 1024x768x32 with 6xFSAA and 8xAF
