CS Source Surround Echo and Stutte Problems

I just hooked up Logitech 6.1 surround speakers to my Creative 24bit Soundblaster. I have it set to 5.1 in the audo options (as there is no setting for 6.1). However, on certain maps, dust2 aztec, the sound echos horribly, almost like audio lag while the video remains fine? Any help for this frustration?

I am also having a problem with surround sound. I am running windows XP with Soundblaster Live 5.1 and it works fine set on the 2 speaker option, but when switched to 5.1 (or 4 speaker, or 7.1) the sound is very "crackly" - so much so that it's unplayable.
