Michael: Affirmative. Although I can't specifically announce the exact release date, I can at least say it will be released via steam within two months. Right now, I can't promise that the Half-Life 2 package and the CS: Source package will be sold separately; however, the combined Half-Life 2 + CS: Source package will be released with a reasonable retail price including the extra price for CS: Source by Vivendi Universal Games.

OK then, so i have my free hl2 voucher from my asus 9800 xt... but thats useless to me if i want cs:source as well? (which i bloody well do). Unless of course, by some unlikely miracle they decide to give us voucher owners cs source as part of the package....

edit: is this worth an email to valve, and if so.. who?

I dont think you do, I can run most games on my old 256MB computer with a nice GFX card.

I have 1024MB DDR on this one thou..

i dont think they will you see CS:S is the next in a long line of conter strike games which CS:CZ is the latest game thats why VALVe is allowing these people to test the new game ... if the was a halflife 2 beta test tho im sure you would be eligable to participate.

well i sure hope they release cs:source as a separate package... i'd be pretty pissed of to learn that my voucher is useless after al that sweet cash i spent on that gfx card. and besides, in this day and age of steam... how hard can it be to release it as a separate game?
