Cs Source Today!?

It hasn't been released yet, and when it will you will have the option to buy HL² with CS:S, hope that clears it up for you :)
 
yeah but how long do i have to wait for my key when i buy it over steam? and...how do i get my key?
 
Hmm to be honest I have never bought anything over steam (yet hehe), I think you don't get any cdkeys, you just punch in your CC info and it activates the games and they become tied to your account. I could be wrong about the cdkey thing though :)
 
Right We've got the CS:S tomorrow and the CS:S today threads, I predict a CS:S yesterday thread.....

Yeah Steam bypasses the CD Key bit and just associates your Steam ID with having bought HL2. CD Keys are only used by retail versions, Steam then checks the CD Key is valid and unused, and then associates HL2 with your Steam ID, after that you don't need it.
 
I'm bored at work right now, I can't wait for CS:Source final to come out!!!!!!! Useless post, I know. But like i said. I'm bored at work! But yah, what CBPara said. When you buy CS:S over steam it comes with HL2 (whenever that gets released, Nov 24th?) which means Vivendi are going to lose big $$$ by not selling box copies....
 
I suggest we all buy HL2 over steam, just to support Valve instead of VUG.
 
I will buy it from steam to, because of two reasons.

1: the gold pack has a lot more to offer then the CE retail pack.
2: and offcourse to support steam. :E

because it will get released today!!!

well i think they probably put it on the site on the moment CS: source is avail through steam... :x so we'll notice when its ready :)

i want the CS:S because i was too cheap to do the beta, me needs it, too long have i been deprived

Can someone do me a favor. IF cs:source comes out today take a minute to stop playing and post something here letting me know! :cheese: I'm at work and can't check from here. :sleep: I want to know whats going on out there! It would be well appreciated..ok..i'm going back to my hole now...
 
i read on steams news that CS:S will be available for download in ENCRYPTED form....but does that mean you will be able to play the full version as of today? I don't think so...

Hmmm they said this week; lately Valve have been very punctual with steam updates and such.
 
I'm playing regular Counter-Strike while waiting... :|:|:|
 
IF they release today it will be around 18h00 valve time (valve is located in seattle washington (state)). That's the time when the steambandwith is the least consumed + they always released the preloads around that time.
...
so... in 3 hours perhaps...
