Do you think valve will make another CS, with the new graphic of hl2
it must be great game only if they wont change many things except graphic , somone know about planning of cs2?

its highly likley that there will be a cs2 and im sure they will go ahead with it. with not much being said about half life 2.. multiplayer u never know. only time will tell . just hope :afro: :cheers: might come with half life 2 \/ but we can only hope.

Odd as this may seem I think we won't ever see an official version of CS 2, I think that Valve will leave it open for a mod group to replace CS.

Yes, we dont really need a CS2, do we? We need a new CS though
Lets face it, CS is REALLY getting old, in everything it does... It needs some massive innovations, and CS2 would NOT bring them, it wouldnt be CS anymore.
Easier to simply make a completely new mod, with no ties to CS, and no expectations from the community. There are already a few hundred of them planned

i dont feel like finding evidence to back my statement up, but i think its been farely well known that CS2 has been in production for quite some time, pretty much since CS was such a big deal and Vavle bought up the rights, Minh Lee (Gooseman) has been working on CS2 since then

Plopfish is right. Minh Lee said in a video interview i saw that he was working on CS2. This was after valve bought the rights.

if anything i want a cs 1.3 with the source engine. i might just do it myself.

I think it would be great to have a CS with the new technology of the source engine. There could be huge maps and perhaps one could use the great physics of the engine.

I also remember reading articles on CSNation regarding work on CS2 as far back as 2001. I can't wait for it. I really hope it is coming and coming sometime this year or next?

Apparently the CS Team (now part of Valve) already have access to the Source engine and are working on a CS project that isn't Counter-Strike 2.
